Jonathan Congratulates Super Eagles, Urges Them To “Go For Gold”

The President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has urged the Super Eagles to go all the way and bring home the Africa Cup of Nations trophy.

Victor Moses scored a brace as Nigeria beat Ethiopia 2-0 and will now face a tough test against Cote d’Ivoire in the next round. Jonathan congratulated them on the win and said they should “go for gold”.

“Pres. Jonathan congratulates the Super Eagles on their well deserved victory in the match against Ethiopia today. He urges them to go 4 Gold,” Reuben Abati, the president’s media spokesperson tweeted shortly after the game.
