African Fashion Designers for the 2013 Miami Beach International Fashion Week

W-Art Design, a Lagos based fashion and art consulting company has landed the African franchise for the Miami Beach International Fashion Week. So come March 2013, African designers will now feature on the runway of the fashion week and get a chance to show the world the beauty of the continent’s most colorful designs and prestigious fashion labels for the first time ever in the history of the fashion show.
The Miami Beach International fashion Week (MBIFW) is a yearly fashion event which holds in Miami, Florida, United States of America. MBIFW up till now has featured eminent designers, celebrities, and musicians from nearly every continent (except Africa).
MBIFW is considered the fifth largest and one of the most important fashion events on the world’s fashion calendar. Hundreds of international media register to attend the event each year including MTV,  FTV(Fashion TV) and Yahoo! providing a global platform for some of the world’s best established and emerging designers who gather in Miami to participate in this world class event.
The event is the longest standing fashion event in Miami and has received worldwide recognition and fame for discovering and showcasing the best fashion from around the world from its inception in 1999.  Each year, the MBIFW makes a big impact in the press worldwide, in 2012 alone; the MBIFW made 4.6billion media impressions worldwide. The age of attendees range between 18 and 54 and the MBIFW has an average of 10,000 attendees.

She is the African Regional Authorized Representative of Sobol- Perry Fashion Productions Inc., owners of the Miami Beach International Fashion Week and the Council of International Fashion Designers, as well as the National Secretary of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria.
In order to foster an impressive debut for the African component at the MBIFW 2013, a series of pre-event activities are scheduled to hold in Lagos, Nigeria.
